HEALTH THROUGH CONNEcTION

IT IMPROVES SELF-PERCEPTION AND SELF-ESTEEM, MOOD AND SLEEP QUALITY, AND IT REDUCES STRESS, ANXIETY AND FATIGUE.

PHYSICALLY ACTIVE PEOPLE HAVE UP TO A 30% REDUCED RISK OF BECOMING DEPRESSED, AND STAYING ACTIVE HELPS THOSE WHO ARE DEPRESSED RECOVER.

Why is Walk+Talk so good for you?

Walk+Talk is a simple, safe and welcoming programme - which aims to help rebuild your confidence to get out and join in with some gentle activity and easy conversation - with other like-minded people in your area. We're confident that these regular opportunities for a little exercise and company, will make you feel happier and healthier.

Research tells us that walking regularly will improve many aspects of health. As a low impact and accessible activity, it can "enhance cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. It can also reduce your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers".

Add to this the chance to share a chat and connect with people in your neighbourhood, and the science tells us this is certain to boost your mood.

It's not complicated. It's totally safe. It's entirely inclusive. And it's free.

Show up for the next Walk+Talk for some fresh air, activity and conversation - and to be reminded that you matter, and you belong.

Why is Walk+Talk so good for you?
